Ford's Lane Keeping System helps notify the driver when the vehicle veers out of it's lane. It can be set to alert which sends a pulse through the steering wheel to notify the driver the system is reading you have left your lane, or aid  which actively applies steering torque to alert you to steer your vehicle back into the lane or both systems can be combined for an even more confident driving experience. The Lane Keeping System uses a forward facing camera to scan the road ahead, when proper road markings are available the indicator on the dashboard will notify you by illuminating green. Included Driver Alert System can detect erratic vehicle movements over a period of time, indicating possible drowsiness; coffee cup displays, signaling it may be time to rest.  Lane-Keeping System does not control steering. Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver's attention. judgment and need to control the vehicle.

The available Adaptive Cruise Control systems helps maintain a safe following distance while in traffic. The forward facing sensors detect slower moving traffic and adjusts your vehicles speed.  When traffic has cleared the vehicle will resume the last set cruise control speed, making it easier to use cruise control on long trips, without having to reset speed every time you encounter traffic. The following distance can be set using gap control buttons on the steering wheel. Forward collision warning with brake support will alert you if it senses a potential collision with the car in front of you. A heads-up display, which simulates brake lights, flashes on the windshield. If you don't react in time, the brakes will pre-charge and increase brake-assist sensitivity to provide full responsiveness.

Park Assist

Park assist helps you navigate your vehicle safely into parallel parking spaces and in some vehicles will also help you perpendicular park also.  The Park Assist System uses ultrasonic sensors to scan for suitable parking spaces A notification appears on your touchscreen to let you know a suitable parking space has been found.  Step by step instructions on the touchscreen will then guide you through the rest of the parking function, telling you how far to pull ahead, when to shift to reverse, when to remove your hands from the wheel, and presenting what is behind you using the camera.  From there you just control the gas, brake and transmission and let the vehicle control the steering.
